COVID-19

Tenant Information and Announcements

At Austara Properties, our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented global event.  We appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this pandemic. Our focus is on the health and safety of our employees, family, owners and the tenants we engage with socially and professionally.

Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation around the clock and we are confident we have taken the necessary precautions to ensure our ability to continue running our business, operating our platform, and providing continuous high quality support to all our owners and residents. Because we have a highly automated business model already in place, we have not yet experienced any significant disruptions to our services and offerings.

However, the City of Austin (and surrounding areas and counties) have issued a “Shelter In Place” or “Stay At Home” order effective Tuesday night, March 24, 2020 at 11:59pm.   As part of our response to the pandemic, we have implemented the following measures, with the goal of ensuring our service to you will be uninterrupted, if possible, while attempting to protect the health and well-being of you and our personnel.

We are utilizing social distancing as a company policy. All of our trade contractors (plumbers, electricians, HVAC repair) will continue to deliver the highest levels of service and support to our tenants. They have been instructed to take additional precautions to reduce the risk of infection.  Anyone feeling sick or having any minimal symptoms will NOT be allowed to service your property. Our service people will take extra precautions with maintaining physical distance, wear gloves at all times and apply hand sanitizers before and after entering any property.

We wish to remind everyone that rent is still due on the first of each month.   We encourage upfront communication with us as soon as possible if you will feel you will have difficulty in paying your rent.   We understand COVID-19 may have already directly affected some of our residents. Some residents may have experienced a loss of wages or been laid off from their place of employment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Therefore we want to open up clear lines of communications with all residents in order to be able to troubleshoot any issues that may come up and explore all options and possible solutions.

For residents, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and let us know your concerns or specific circumstances. You can utilize the tenant portal on this site to advise us of any issues you may be experiencing.
